A combination of injuries, penalties and defensive miscues led to football’s sixth loss of the season Saturday in El Paso, as the Owls fell to UTEP 27-17.

Football preview: Owls look to end slide versus UTEP

Following a 33-17 defeat against Marshall last week, football will travel to El Paso to take on the UTEP Miners this Saturday night, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. The matchup will be the first ever between the two teams and will be Florida Atlantic's first away game in over three weeks.

Football fell to Marshall 33-17 Saturday afternoon after allowing 500 total yards of offense to the Thundering Herd. The loss is Florida Atlantic’s second in a row and sixth straight at home.
