Break out the brooms — and say hello to the top 25.

Behind a combination of timely hitting and clutch pitching, FAU baseball completed a three-game home sweep of South Alabama, who entered Boca Raton ranked No. 24 as co-leaders of the Sun Belt Conference.

In games one and two, the Owls rallied from deficits — 3-0 and 6-2 — to snatch victory, while a sterling complete game shutout by pitcher Jeremy Strawn tamed the Jaguars in the series finale.

With the sweep — and subsequent win over Lynn University — FAU (20-9 overall) moved into first place in the Sun Belt, where they hold a 7-2 record.

Riding a seven-game winning streak, which included a 6-1 trouncing of Miami, the Owls have drawn national acclaim, ranking No. 25 by Baseball America and No. 30 by Collegiate Baseball.
