Spring break

Liz Dzuro

If you’re stuck at FAU as a campus resident, or you’re a commuter student and broke during spring break, we’ve got some ideas on how to spend your free time.

The UP has printed summer guides the past two years on places and activities in south Florida for students to get out and have fun while they’re away from school.

This time around we compiled a special guide concentrating on making the best of your spring break without having to travel far or spend a lot of cash.

We’ve made it easy for you and have picked the best beach, a worthwhile food spot and a bar with kick-ass drinks in locations close to campus. And we didn’t forget about the Jupiter residents — we predict turtles and pirates in your immediate future.

But first, you should probably update your wardrobe by getting a new bathing suit and outfit if you’re going to be out and about. To make this happen, we’ve got a simple style guide with examples of new fashions that will help you look like you belong on the beach.

If you’re really trapped in the dorms or Village Apartments, we’ve compiled a scavenger hunt of random and interesting things that can be found on the Boca campus.

Keep this issue handy during the break so you can grab it and go to create some awesome memories that your out-of-town friends will be jealous of when they return to school.
