Men’s basketball: Mother nature postpones FAU-Manhattan

Following its five-games-in-12-days road trip in which it went 3-2, FAU was scheduled to return home on Thursday, Dec. 30, to begin a stretch of home games.

With a bad snow storm pounding the Northeast, however, that is no longer the plan.

Scheduled opponent Manhattan University was unable to secure a flight on time to South Florida, and the game was subsequently rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 11, in The Burrow, according to the FAU athletics department.

The department sent out e-mails late Wednesday night informing fans of the strategy regarding previously purchased tickets for the now-postponed game.

“Tickets purchased for the original game date will be honored on Jan. 11,” the athletics department said via e-mail. “Fans with any other questions regarding tickets are encouraged to contact the FAU Athletics Ticket Office at 1-866-FAU-OWLS.”

Barring any more unforeseen weather issues, FAU will begin its homestand on Monday, Jan. 7, vs. Florida Memorial at 7 p.m.
