FAU students can now see bands like Social Distortion and Dashboard Confessional without having to pay.
Owl Radio is giving away free tickets to concerts and shows every week for the remainder of the fall semester. To win tickets, students only have to call into the radio station during the shows listed at owlradio.fau.edu. Tickets to at least two music shows, as well as a movie, will be made available each week.
“We wanted to make ticket giveaways more consistent,” said Viridiana Lieberman, the director of OWL Radio.
OWL Radio also has a blanket e-mail address set up to keep students informed about upcoming ticket call-in times. Those interested should e-mail their names to [email protected].
Some students have already received tickets to several shows.
“All students should realize what a great opportunity they have to get to do a lot of fun things for free. It’ s as easy as listening to the radio and dialing in,” said Lauren Wallese, who won free tickets to a screening of the new movie The Social Network.
