Get out of your room…
“Don’t stop ‘til you get enough…keep on…”
Dare to be bold as you take the microphone during karaoke night at Coyote Jacks in the Student Union of the Boca campus. Yes, you’re welcome to attempt your Bee Gees, Cher, Madonna and Michael Jackson, just try your best not to blow out some eardrums. The fun starts at 8 p.m. on Oct. 6. Take the sweet satisfaction of knowing that laughing at yourself is priceless—when that does not work there’s always laughing at your fellow karaoke singers. One of a Kind
Ever heard of fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva? It’s a rare disease that causes soft tissue, like muscle, to become bone. Because of its rarity, there is little knowledge about it and much less funding for a cure. If you’re interested in a career in the health professions or are interested in learning about and contributing to raising awareness and funds for rare diseases, One of a Kind is looking for determined individuals such as yourself to join them. Meetings are Fridays starting at 1:30 p.m. in the Sugar Palm Room of the Boca campus. You don’t have to wait until you’re accepted into med school to begin groundbreaking work. For more info, contact club president and founder Arleen Aportela at [email protected].
