Some of the NFL’s top superstars came to the FAU football team’s home field, Lockhart Stadium, to practice on Jan. 30 in preparation for the Pro Bowl. While fans eagerly gathered to see their favorite players, it can be argued that it was the team mascots who stole the show.
Most of the players were more than willing to sign autographs and take pictures, but, as the day rolled on, the crowd’s attention focused more toward the mascots. The Miami Dolphins mascot, T.D., decided to get involved in some of the AFC drills, which resulted in a playful wrestling match. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco was also a crowd pleaser, as he tussled with the Cleveland Browns mascot for a sombrero.
The Pro Bowl game was on Jan. 31. The AFC beat the NFC, 41-34.
