Pumpkin Drop & Physics Carnival Oct. 30

Get ready to celebrate Halloween in an explosive way at the Third Annual Pumpkin Drop and Physics Carnival on Friday, Oct. 30, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The fun will take place behind the Science & Engineering Building on the Boca Raton campus. For the kids, there will be physics-related carnival games, a physics demo table, and face painting.

The “bigger kids” will enjoy trying to give their favorite physics professors a dip in the dunk tank! The Chemistry Club will also be back again with their exciting explosions that you don’t want to miss!

The main event — the Pumpkin Drop — will take place at 12:45 p.m. on the lawn west of the Science & Engineering Building and east of the General Classroom North Building. As pumpkin guts splatter all over, famous figures from the past such as Aristotle, Galileo, Sir Isaac Newton and Einstein will explain what’s happening in scientific terms. So come one, come all, and bring the kids to a Halloween celebration they’re sure to remember!
