Frantz Joseph to appear on ESPN this Sunday

The clock is ticking, and former FAU linebacker Frantz Joseph is just hours away from knowing whether or not he will be picked in the 2009 NFL draft. And while Joseph’s draft status is uncertain, he will appear on ESPN regardless of whether he is chosen.

Joseph is set to appear on ESPN’s “Outside the Lines” on Sunday, April 26, at 8 a.m. The Emmy Award-winning show, known for its critical analysis of sports-related topics, had a crew document Joseph on his pro day back in March as he prepared for the upcoming NFL draft in front of numerous professional teams’ scouts.

“Sometimes it can get overwhelming, and I would forget and turn around and there would be a camera in your face,” Joseph said to www.fauowlaccess.com. “I felt like it was a great opportunity and would get me some exposure, along with FAU.”

Joseph is projected to be selected as high as in the fourth round to as low as in one of the final rounds. Joseph could also possibly go undrafted.

While his imminent future remains unclear, the Fort Lauderdale native just hopes that a team takes a chance on him this weekend.

“If I get drafted, it would be a blessing,” said Joseph, who could become the first Owl ever chosen in the NFL draft.

If drafted this weekend, then Sunday might not be the last time we see Joseph on ESPN.
