What the Candidates Have to Say

Tiffany Weimar:

“YOUR” Party represents YOU, the students at Florida Atlantic University.  Our dedication to serving the Student Body is shown through the great LEADERSHIP, EXPERIENCE, and SPIRIT of committed individuals all coming together for a common purpose. “YOUR” Party understands the pressures, frustrations, and concerns of students.  We are determined to address these issues as well as enhance your collegiate experience through late night and weekend programming, athletic events, and through creating and maintaining FAU traditions.   As budget cuts threaten University-wide student programming, “YOUR” Party will work to use our tacit knowledge, resources, and incredible relationships with students and administration to build alternative solutions, ignite school spirit, and create opportunities for ALL students.  From Treasure Coast to Broward, students deserve equal opportunities.

Find us at “The Burrow,” Lockhart Stadium, the “Breezeway”, or studying at the library; we are everyday students…dedicated OWL fans, and the party for students.

By voting for “YOUR” Party, you are voting for your voice to be heard, for embracing diversity, uniting campuses, and for making Florida Atlantic University a place to call home.  We care about your time at FAU; let “YOUR” Party be Your Voice.  After all, it is your choice and Your University!

Chuck Forbes:

Here are some goals that we will implement in office: Making student government more efficient, with a weekly open forum for students to voice their opinions on any topics happening around FAU. We want to form more academic committees around campus o work in conjunction with the colleges to improve grades. With budget cuts, A&S fees need to be spent wisely. Continue building spirit and tradition and making the Boca campus more attractive in the surrounding neighborhood. Weekly reports from each position need to be presented to the house of reps and the students through a forum or SG weekly email. Board of Trustee meetings need to be public knowledge to the students after decisions have been made. The Senate needs to have an active voice, and transportation between campuses, as well as a new system needs to be in place in Boca. Our faces need to be recognized as we put ourselves out their for the students, because FRESH works with and for the students, not against or above them.
