After four months spent in rerun hell due to the writer’s strike, Desperate Housewives finally returned with new episodes. The standard mystery-element of Housewives this week was the bizarre murderous past of Katherine, and her daughter who seems to have no memory of her childhood. Can’t wait to see how this one is explained.
Clues lead us to believe that Katherine killed her husband after constant abuse, but knowing Housewives, the plot is going to take some major twists before we finally find out what really happened.
Typical of Housewives, the show sheds light on a steamy affair that took place between a 16-year-old boy and a grown married woman – haven’t we heard this one before? Also typical of the show are the random characters that just seem to pop out of nowhere, like Susan Mayer’s cousin Tim the accountant. Remember him? No one else does, either.
Tim is doomed to join the long list of random friends and relatives the main characters seem to forget that they have. Characters like Eddie’s son, Susan’s publisher and Tom’s dad all have brief appearances, then suddenly vanish into oblivion a few episodes later.
Desperate Housewives airs Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m. on ABC.
