Known internationally for her compassionate study of apes and monkeys, Goodall is both a biologist and a celebrity. She’s even been parodied as a Simpsons character.
In 2003, she came to FAU to talk about chimpanzees and environmentalism. On Feb. 27, she came back to give a lecture on another topic: peace.
She began studying primates over 40 years ago. She founded the Jane Goodall Institute for Wildlife Research, Education and Conservation in 1977 to raise environmental awareness.
