Flaunt yourself on Thursday nightsWest Palm Beach’s Respectable Street kicks off the weekend every week on Thursdays for its Flaunt party, with DJs John Vincent and Marvelous Kendall taking turns on the turntables. Calling all Einsteins (Or those in training)The Collegiate Inventors Competition is open to students who have been enrolled full time in a college or university over the past 12 months. You must submit an original idea, process or technology that will be judged on originality and inventiveness, as well as on its potential value to society (social, environmental, and economic), and on its range or scope of use. Up to four students may work together as a team. However, only one prize – between $10,000 and $25,000 – will be awarded per entry. Writing about the Middle East could make life easyThe “Dream Deferred” Essay Contest on Civil Rights in the Middle East is available to students who are 25 years old or younger. You must submit an essay of 600-1500 words addressing one of the questions listed on the scholarship’s Web site. Kick it up to show you careKickball for Caring is a 12-hour kickball tournament that benefits Hearts & Hope, a non-profit agency that provides safe homes for children and families who are mourning the loss of a loved one. To form a team, the registration fee is only $20 a player, and all proceeds benefit the Hearts & Hope charity.
