Potter Fans Must Plan Ahead

Where should students go in Boca Raton for the premier of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix? Seems like a simple question, but Harry Potter fans should be aware that some of the popular theaters in the area may not be showing the Order of the Phoenix at midnight on opening night. Boca students may have to wait until early Wednesday morning to see the long awaited movie or drive further away. Sunrise Cinemas at Mizner Park has chosen not to have a midnight showing of Harry Potter. When asked why, a representative simply replied “We’ve just decided not to.” Muvico Palace 20 and The Premier Theater in Boca Raton have decided to Premier Harry Potter at 12:01AM on July 11th. But other Muvico theaters may not be showing Harry Potter on opening night. According to a representative at Muvico Headquarters the reason that some theaters are opening Harry Potter at midnight and others are not is because “It has to do with grosses, we pick the theaters that we think the movie will do the best, and not necessarily how reputable a movie actually is.” Regal Shadowood 16 on 441 and Glades Road is also showing Potter at 11:59pm on July 10th. Students should order their tickets online or in person at least a few days in advance. And so, Harry Potter fans must now look into which theaters will be premiering the movie and which ones are not be, because your favorite theater may not be showing the movie on opening night.
