Purpose: To enrich students’ lives on campus and to educate the rest of the FAU community on campus about the Jewish culture and religion.
What do they do: Hold events to share insight about the lifestyles of Judaism. The Shabbat experience is held every other Friday evening. On the alternating Friday evenings, they use other cultures to share experiences about how Judaism is expressed around the world.
Why you should join: It’s for people who are looking for a fun environment and to learn more about the Jewish lifestyle.
Members: About 200 active.
Three adjectives to describe the club: Family-oriented, well rounded, respectful.
What makes the club stand out: It’s open to anyone who wants to join, as well as engaging in just about any ideas that are brought to the table.

catholic newman club

Purpose: To join together in a community where all are welcome to deepen their faith through community service, the Liturgy and social events.
Why you should join: Attend social events, make new friends, learn about faith and have fun.
Three adjectives to describe the club: Hospitable, fun-loving, spiritual.
What makes the club stand out: Not only do they have a diverse membership, but also many of the members are alumni of FAU and other universities.
Meetings: On the Boca campus, Sunday Mass at 5 p.m. in the Sugar Palm Room (UC), Wednesday Praise and Worship at 7 p.m. and Thursday Afternoon Tea at 3:30 p.m., both in the Newman Lounge (next to the Bookstore).
