Thursday, Oct. 19

“Theme Dinner”

Location: Boca Campus, Cafeteria

Time: Regular dining hours apply

Cost: If you have a meal plan, you eat free. Regular cafeteria dinner prices apply.

There will be a special menu featuring food from several different genres of movies such as Western and Asian, as well as music and giveaways.

Saturday, Oct. 21

Port St. Lucie Dance “Homecoming Kickoff Ball”

Location: Eagle Marsh Country Club, in Saint Lucie West

Time: 7 p.m. to midnight

Start Homecoming Week off right by attending the Homecoming Kickoff Ball. This dance is a costume party and while costumes are optional, they are preferred. Come dressed in your best early Halloween attire and enjoy a night a music and dancing. There is no charge for FAU students with ID and guests are $35.

Monday, Oct. 23

“Kickoff in the Breezeway”

Location: Boca Campus, Breezeway

Time: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Check out the balloons, banners and giveaways – pick up your free foam hand and mini football and get prepared for Saturday’s football game.

Fall Family Fest & Bonfire “A Family Affair”

Location: Boca Campus, Housing Lawn – Barbeque Pit

Time: 5 p.m.

Eat free food catered by Chartwells while watching the administration Golf Cart Parade – President Brogan and his cart, Owl Force One are expected to lead the parade. After the meal, join Owl football coaches, cheerleaders and the dance team for a bonfire and witness the burning of Arkansas State’s mascot.

Campus Social “Alumni Event”

Location: Fort Lauderale campus, Higher Education Complex, 8th floor

Time: 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 25

“A Reading of the Stars- Breezeway Day”

Location: Boca Campus, Breezeway

Time: 11 a.m. – 3.pm.

More ballons, banners and giveaways – get your free Homecoming T-shirt and other promotional goodies.

Thursday, Oct. 26

Talon Leadership Awards Ceremony and Reception “And the Winner is…….”

Location: Boca Campus, Live Oak Pavillion

Time: 6:30 p.m.

Hosted by Alumni Affairs, the Talon Awards honor one outstanding student, alumni, faculty member making a difference in the FAU community. Originally nominated by a faculty member or student peer, the winners will be selected by a panel of judges including four impartial students-one from each campus-three alumni, one faculty and one staff member.

Tail Gate Party “Sea Tech Pep Rally”/b>

Location: Sea Tech Campus

Time: 1:30 p.m.

Join in the fun as the Sea Tech campus gets pumped for the Homecoming Football game on Saturday. The best part – this pep rally comes with free food catered by Chartwells.

Friday, Oct. 27

Comedy Show “FAU’s Comedy Club”

Location: Boca Campus, Carole & Barry Kaye Performing Arts Center – UC Auditorium

Time:8 p.m.

Featuring well-know comics Mon’Nique, DeRay Davis and Lil Duval, this is comedy show is bound to be a crowd pleasers. Get your free tickets at the ticket office in the University Center on the Boca Campus. There are only a limited number of tickets and space is limited, so get your tickets early.

Halloween Horror Nights Trip

Location: Buses leave from the Davie Campus

Time:5 p.m.

The Davie Campus Program Board is taking 170 to 200 students on a free trip to Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando.

Saturday, Oct. 28

Football Game- FAU vs. Arkansas State “Any Given Saturday”

LOCATION: Lockhart Stadium- Fort Lauderdale

Time: Gates open at 12 noon.

Tailgate Party

Time: 1 p.m.

Tailgate in style with free barbeque-style food catered by Charwells served hot. Water and soda only will be served- so bring your own beer… (if you’re 21).

Kickoff

Time: 4 p.m.

Show your school spirit and help the Owls defeat the Indians. Homecoming King & Queen to be crowned during half-time.

Sunday, Oct. 29

Formal Dance “A Red Carpet Affair”

Location: Boca Campus, Grand Palm Room

Time: 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Spend the night under the spotlights as Boca’s Grand Palm Room transforms into a Hollywood Red Carpet Affair. Free tickets are available for FAU students in SU 130 – limit one per person. Cost for Non-Students is $20 Formal attire required.
