Rotary International’s Ambassadorial Scholarships: The Rotary Foundation offers scholarships to students looking to study abroad. Last year, awards totaled $428 million. Get your share! Encouraging international understanding and friendly relations, the Rotary International offers funding to students who wish to study in foreign countries. Applications are processed through local clubs, so you will need to obtain the phone number for the one nearest you. The scholarship is intended for a candidate who will be in the country for one year. During the application process, you will be tested in your foreign language. As the Rotary says, you are to act as an ambassador, doing community service and speaking on behalf of the organization during your time there. When you return home, the Rotary Club will expect a further speech communicating your experiences and actions while representing the U.S.A. and the Rotary Club overseas.
