Lawrence “Beau” LavenderI believe student government should work for the benefit of the students, not the elected officials. I served in the Boca Senate last year and have been the President and General Manager of the Ice Hockey Club since last January. Under my leadership we have fundraised over $35,000 and represented FAU at the National Championships. I have 10 years of upper management business experience and a strong working relationship with several of south Florida’s business leaders. I want to restore integrity to SGA, the elected officials ought to be held to the same (and higher) standards than they force the clubs to adhere to. We need to better fund agencies on campus (campus recreation, BSU, night owls…) and work with administration to provide better lighting and security on campus. An SGA official should have an open door policy and be their for the students, I will be.
