The 4Annual Sundance Festival, a three-and-a-half hour event featuring 24 different performances, was the last big event of the Fall 2004 semester (previous SG events include Rock the Vote and the Breakdance competition). Student Government works daily with clubs to provide funding for their individual events, but Sundance marks the unique time of year where SGA and FAU’s many cultural clubs unite and put on a grand celebration of diversity. Witnessing the scope of the festivities, FAU President Frank T. Brogan said appreciatively, “This is the best Sundance yet!”
Over a dozen clubs danced and sang onstage, while the generously-sized tent featured interactive tables and free food for the hundreds who attended. “I just want to congratulate FAU’s Student Government on the a wonderful Sundance Festival that my family and I greatly enjoyed,” an alumnus responded. “It was breathtaking to see so much diversity on campus and so many students participating in all of the various shows. I was proud to bring my family and friends back to FAU to show them the school I proudly attended for four years.”
