Self-Defense Course – The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive, women-only course. This is a three-day intensive course open to FAU, BCC and PBCC students, faculty and staff. Women from the general public will be allowed to attend on a space available basis. FAU Chess Club – The FAU Chess Club meets at the University Center every Friday from 6:30pm to 11:00pm. The contact person is Bill McLean, Ext. 72236. Also there is additional information on the Boca Raton Chess Club web site www.BocaChess.com

Victory Bible Club – The Victory Bible Club meets every Thursday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm in the UCM room by the ATM in the Breezeway. Lunch will be provided along with bible study, discussions and trips.

Cross Country/Track & Field: NCAA South Regional – FAU will host this NCAA Regional at 9:00 am, November 13th.

Lecture – Dr. Maxine Schackman will deliver a lecture entitled “The Judaica Music Rescue Project” on the fifth floor of the Wimberly Library at 2:00pm, November 15. A free parking pass and directions are provided at the information booth at the main Glades Road entrance.

Dramatic Presentation – Los Pregoneros will deliver a dramatic presentation entitled “Ladino Lives!” in the University Center Grand Palm Room at 3:30pm, November 17. A free parking pass and directions are provided at the information booth at the main Glades Road entrance.

The week is FAU’s Homecoming week. Homecoming Events:

Bonfire – There will be free food and music from DJ Jazz and what one would imagine to be a decent sized but well contained fire at the outdoor stage from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, November 12.

Comedy Show – FAU is proud to present Roz G., Corey Holcomb, Orlando Jones and Bill Bellamy in the University Center Auditorium at 8:00pm, November 12.

Homecoming Game – The FAU football team will likely trounce New Mexico State at Lockhart Stadium, November 13. Gates open at 12:00pm. Tailgating begins at 1:00pm. Kickoff is at 4:00pm.

Formal Dance – FAU’s Homecoming Dance will take place in the Grand Palm Room of the University Center at 8:00pm, November 14. There will be free food and live music from DJ Jazz.
