FAU women’s cross- country runner Raynell Hagberg was named the Atlantic Sun Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004. Hagberg led the women to a third place finish overall at the Disney Classic on Oct. 9.
Hagberg had a personal best of 18:24 in the 5k race, which placed her 13th overall. She was the first runner to finish from the A-Sun conference and competed against 301 other runners. FAU’s team as a whole finished with an average time of 18:50.
32 teams competed in the Disney Classic. Next up for the women’s cross country team is the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 30.
