Want to be FAU’s first Idol? If you think you can sing your way into a recording contract, then audition for “FAU Idol.” Owl TV will be holding auditions, looking for singers that are serious enough to sign a record deal with Hoot Records.
“There will be three special guest judges to choose six finalists, who will then have a final performance at Grand Palm Room Nov. 9,” says Arash Farsi of Owl TV.
The winner will get a record deal with FAU’s own Hoot Records, a digital camera from Sony, a $50 certificate from Domino’s Pizza, and have the chance to open at an upcoming concert. Second prize includes studio time with Hoot Records and a Sony DVD player. Third prize will also get studio time with Hoot Records and a $100 gift certificate to Max’s Grille.
Auditions will be Oct. 26 and 29, 11 a.m. at Owl TV in the University Center (Room 231). Another audition will be held at the MacArthur campus, Oct. 27 at The Burrow at 1 p.m. For more information, call Owl TV at 561/297-0037.
