Entering its third season as a club sport on the FAU Boca Raton Campus, the men’s ice hockey team has already had great success. I talked with president Lawrence “Beau” Lavender on the phone Thursday afternoon, and he said that the team is excited about the new coach. “Our new coach has won NCAA Championships before and is ready to bring the FAU ice hockey team new leadership, a competitive edge, and hopefully a Division III Championship.”

All FAU students are welcome to try-out, but must wear full protective equipment. This season we will be competing against schools like University of Colorado, University of Wyoming, Tulane University, Georgia Tech, Middle TN State, USF, FSU, UF, and many more. We have a new coach and GM and are expected to compete for a shot at the nationals in the American College Hockey Association, Division III.
