President Brogan to “Share the Vision” the 24th

President Brogan will conduct separate sessions at his two Broward offices May 24th called “Share the Vision.” The meetings will be open to students, faculty and staff who would like to sit down with President Brogan and discuss any issues they may have. “I want to make sure everyone shares in the vision for Florida Atlantic University,” said Brogan. “There is simply no better way to know what’s on someone’s mind than to sit down and listen to them.”(see FAU website).

The “Share the Vision” sessions will be held first at the Davie Campus from 10-11:30 a.m. in Brogan’s office, LA 212. President Brogan will then be at his Downtown office from 2-3 pm in HEC 1108. Five minute time slots will be given on a first come, first served basis.

Guest Speaker: Michelle Garb to lecture on Eating Disorders

A comedienne and recovered anorexic, Michelle Garb will be at the Davie campus May 25th for “Fat Brain/Skinny Body”, a lecture created on eating disorder awareness and a positive body self-image.

Garb will speak about her 15-year battle with eating disorders and her first-hand experiences. The lecture will be Tuesday, May 25 at 5-7pm, LA 120.

Volunteer Services Center needs you

If you are looking for opportunities to help others or to acquire volunteering hours for resumes, the Broward Student Government needs volunteers for two upcoming events.

The Homebound Program is an organization that gives help for seniors and adults with physical problems. On Saturday, May 22 10 am-1pm, and Saturday the 29th, the Volunteer Services Center will be helping with the cleaning of senior citizens’ homes.

On Tuesday the 25th, there will be a blood drive on the Davie campus from 10am to 5:30 pm. Two hours of volunteer services will be given to donors.
