NORTHERN CAMPUSES


Campus Visits/Tours — Information sessions and campus tours are available all semester long. Visitors will meet with admissions staff and tour the campus with a student ambassador. Counseling Services — Psychological counseling services are provided at no charge to the students attending the Broward campuses. The professionally trained staff seeks to assist students with personal concerns and problems. Students receive help dealing with issues such as test anxiety, stress, procrastination, poor assertiveness, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, drug and alcohol abuse, childhood sexual abuse and sexual assault. Couple and family counseling are also available at no charge as long as an enrolled FAU student is an active participant in the sessions. Group counseling and psychological testing services are also provided when appropriate. Counseling at the center is held in strict confidence in keeping with accepted professional practices and Florida statutes. Appointments (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with some evening hours also available) may be made in person at the Counseling Center located in Modular 38-I on the Davie campus or by calling 954/236-1216.

Exhibit — The Biennial Faculty Exhibition exhibits over 15 full-time art faculty who work in painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, printmaking, graphic design, video art and a range of other media. In addition to faculty members from the Boca Raton campus where the focus is fine art, faculty from Broward campuses who work in the primarily electronic medias of computer animation and graphic design will be presented. Library Tours — Take a walking tour of the library and learn where to find periodicals, government documents, the reference collection, children’s literature and more. Learn what’s special about the “Special Collections,” and where the best places are to do computing or to study in silence.
