Once again, FAU students and faculty will have the opportunity to make a child’s holiday wishes come true with the Holiday Giving Tree program.
Organized by the Salvation Army, the Giving Tree will be placed in the Breezeway and ornamented with children angel’s wish lists, which might include everything from little red fire-engine trucks to cuddly teddy bears.
Those who want to make a child’s holiday dream a reality can pick an angel from the tree and purchase one or more of the items listed. The unwrapped gift will then be presented to the hopeful child, whose faith in the holiday spirit will be uplifted by the benefactor’s generosity.
FAU students and personnel can turn in their gifts by Dec. 12 at the Campus Volunteer Center table located in the Breezeway. There will also be a holiday celebration the same day at noon in the Administration Building.
Everyone is invited to gather around the Holiday Giving Tree and celebrate the holiday season by placing the angels on the tree. Santa Claus will be there, as well as seasonal goodies and holiday music.
