The Registrar’s Office of Florida Atlantic has announced the implementation of the student records portion of OASIS (Owls Academic Student Information System).
OASIS is an integrated computer system that brings the Admissions, Registrar’s, Financial Aid, Housing, and Cashier’s Offices together into one online database. OASIS will allow students to access their records via a secure website.
Students will be able to update domestic and email addresses, to view the schedule of courses, to register for courses, and to print individual class schedules.
Over the next month, FAU will be activating these web functions. The initial options will allow students to change their domestic and email addresses and marital status.
The Registrar’s Office is asking that students assist them in a number of ways. Take the opportunity to go to the OASIS web site at https://oasis.fau.edu and familiarize yourself with the site, which will assist you when registering for Spring 2003 semester.
Review and update the items you wish.
Student participation will give them more up-to-date information and allow the technical staff to monitor load patterns and system demands. This will provide them with information in order to “tune” the system for the greater amount of loads that will be experienced during registration.
The Spring 2003 Schedule of Courses will be available in mid-October, and registration will begin on November 13. A series of emails will be sent to students to inform them of additional functions when they become available, new instructions for registering via the web, and the “new” OwlLink.
OwlLink will continue to be available, but there will be a new phone number, and the process will be changed.
This information was taken from a mass email sent to students on September 28.
