The College of Business recently awarded graduation certificates to students who completed FAU’s Medical Business Management program. They were the second class to receive such honor, thus officially becoming Certified Medical Business Managers. The ceremony was held in the Boca Raton campus.
The program combines the efforts of the university, the Palm Beach County Medical Society, Rachlin, Cohen and Holtz Healthcare Advisors, and the Broward County Medical Association.
The year-long program concentrates on addressing the increasing complexities of managing medical malpractices and the need for business education for support staff. Some of the program’s required areas of study are medical terminology, practice and organizational development, and legal and regulatory issues.
