The UP meets every Friday at 2 p.m. on the second floor of the Boca campus Student Union (Room 214). We have positions available for writers, photographers, designers, copy editors and more. Even if you're not sure what you want to do, feel free to show up anyway — we won't hold it against you. For more info, e-mail universitypress@gmail.com.
As Dr.Hickey said, the budgets are going to decline and the only source of revenue will be admissions. FAU will have to grow into a 40k+ student school. It should do that anyway.
There is no way that I can consciously vote for O'Reilly/Forbes after this article. Here Colleen is asked a responsible question about her administration's inability to properly/ethically/legally do its job and instead of substantively answering the question, she sidesteps it by blaming a student's residential status for his being uninformed. Have you no decency Ms. O'Reilly? This behavior seems like it is merely the tip of the iceberg. O'Reilly offers little more than vague answers whether it be about the job she has done (or should have done) or the job she intends to do (if she becomes FAU SGA President). Do you think she is going to change? No! She said so herself when she was asked what her administration would accomplish if she won the FAU SGA Presidential election. She said that her (O'Reilly's) administration would basically be, "a continuation of the Weimar administration" (paraphrasing). That is not the definition of leadership or expertise (at least not one that I have ever heard of). I do not know if I am going to vote at all; but it'll be a cold day in hell before I place my confidence in the empty ethical and cognitive basket that is O'Reilly/Forbes.
