Police investigating fight on Free Speech Lawn

A fight broke out on the Free Speech Lawn yesterday, FAU police said.

Brother Micah, a traveling Christian preacher, is at FAU’s Boca campus until Friday and had been preaching when he stopped for a break.

Another man, whom the crowd called “Brother Mark,” stepped into the circle that police had set up to protect Brother Micah from the spectators. A UP reporter witnessed a man punch “Brother Mark” after getting angry about something that was said.

UPTV caught the aftermath of the fight, where you can see a man being taken away by the police.

The FAU Police Department was not able to confirm the identity of the man and cannot comment until the case is closed.

The video will be uploaded to our Web site shortly.

It seems that someone tired of Micah and Mark judging FAU students and telling many students that they were going to hell. I'll admit that I have even thought of striking these clowns. But these men are not truly righteous. It is written in the bible that Jesus said that people should not judge others until they themselves are free from all sin. The bible also says that the only two people that were free from all sin were (1.) Jesus, and (2.) Mary (J.C.'s mother). In other words, nobody is perfect (except for God). That is why there is only one lawgiver (God). Every time Micah, Mark, or anyone else for that matter points out the sin of others they themselves are committing a sin (because they are not perfect). That is to say, save the righteous indignation for the day in which you reach perfection (which will never happen). In essence, we shouldn't judge others because we ourselves are not perfect. We should only concentrate on our own salvation and not the salvation (or sins) of others.

The next time you see Micah or Mark prothletising, here are a few quotes from the bible that you should use to remind these men that what they are doing is directly against the words of Christ (allegedly).

James 4:11-12
4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
------------

Romans 14:13
14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
------------

Matthew 7:1-5
7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
------------

Oh, and if you ever think about striking Micah, Mark, or anyone that judges you, remember the book of Luke 23:34; "Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."
