Reflections and Notes:

Volleyball:

  • Volleyball has won three straight matches going back to Oct. 2. They have not lost a set since their Sept. 27 game at Rice.

Cross Country

  • Both the men’s and women’s teams traveled to the Disney Cross Country Classic last Saturday. The men’s team finished in 10th place overall in the 8K, while the women earned a 13th place team finish in the 5K.

Women’s Soccer:

  • Women’s soccer won consecutive games in Conference USA play for the first time since joining in 2013. They currently are on a three-game winning streak after shutting out LA Tech and Southern Miss during the weekend.
  • Junior forward Geovana Alves scored her team-leading seventh goal on Sunday versus USM.

Football

  • Redshirt senior quarterback Jaquez Johnson and sophomore wide receiver Kamrin Solomon both joined the record books during Saturday’s game versus Rice. Their 94-yard pass touchdown in the second quarter was the longest completion in program history, as well as the longest passing touchdown in school history.

Softball:

  • Softball starts its fall season on Oct. 18 versus Miami-Dade College. The games will be at noon and 2:30 p.m. and will be played at the FAU softball stadium.
